Just as the rest of the country, all universities, including our own, are facing very challenging times that demand of us to act responsibly, attentively and conscientiously.

Dear students,

Just as the rest of the country, all universities, including our own, are facing very challenging times that demand of us to act responsibly, attentively and conscientiously. Safeguarding the health of all the members of our community comes first and foremost, and to prevent the spread of infection we must follow the regulations established by the government and the competent authorities.

During this special period of time, the University of Macerata will continue to stand by your side, ensuring that you can attend classes, take exams and graduate. We will accomplish this online and at a distance by adopting measures that guarantee university-wide instruction and all administrative services. You can continue to communicate with professors, administrative personnel, librarians, department chairpersons and the heads of the administrative offices. Obviously, you can contact me for any urgent needs you might have. The University has also activated a psychological support service that is at your disposal.

Despite all the difficulties, we want to remain a dynamic, united and cohesive academic community. We want to avoid social fragmentation and the weakening of interpersonal relations. The University remains a stronghold, an anchor, a safe port, and, above all, a source of unification and tranquillity. We will overcome this difficult challenge and use this time that keeps as at a distance with wisdom and aplomb.
We will also learn important lessons from this experience, and our desire to return to our welcoming University will only grow stronger.

So, see you soon. I’ll be waiting for you!
