IECoLS - Pre-admission English Test - Dates for January and March 2025

Information about the English test for the candidates of the undergraduate program “IECoLS” who have not submitted an English certificate

According to the regulation of the undergraduate programme “International, European and Comparative Legal Studies” (IECoLS), candidates must demonstrate a proficiency level in English of at least a B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Proficiency is evaluated through the submission of a valid language certificate at a minimum B2 level, issued by a recognised institution.

Starting from a.y. 2025/2026, those who have not provided sufficient proof of knowledge of the English language which is required for pre-admission to IECoLS, must take the English Language Proficiency Test (Reading and Listening) offered by the Language Centre of the University of Macerata and aim at verifying their proficiency in English at a minimum B1 level.
Please note:

• The test is reserved for those who have applied for pre-admission to “IECoLS” in the a.y. 2025/2026 and have not submitted a proper proof of knowledge of the English language (e.g., an internationally recognized language certificate).
• The test is free of any charge.
• The test will be organized online through a specific platform and can be taken ONLY ONCE, from 13 to 17 January 2025 or from 13 to 21 March 2025. Please visit the following webpage for further information: cla.unimc.it/en/utility/pre-admission-english-test.
• Candidates must participate in only one of the two available dates.
• The test is passed with a verified level above B1; if the test is failed, the pre-admission application fails the pre-admission evaluation.

While these candidates are waiting to participate in the test, the pre-admission application is considered as still under evaluation.
If these candidates earn a valid proof of English proficiency in the meantime, they must provide it by uploading it to your application.
